Tentative itinerary (subject to change):
Tentative schedule (subject to change):
Writing about each place will be done immediately after visiting it and before traveling to the next location. Longer breaks (between Detroit and Atlanta, and again between New York City and Jackson) will be spent reviewing and editing previous chapters to leave less to do at the very end.
All writing (including the chapter about the Bay Area, which will not require travel) will be complete by the end of August 2016. September and October are dedicated to revisions, editing, proofreading, and formatting.
The finished book will go to the printer on November 1. Shipping and delivery will begin by November 16th. This means your copy or copies should be in your hand no later than the end of November.
The schedule is deliberately somewhat front-loaded to leave extra time at the end just in case of any delays, to help ensure the book is finished and in your hand on time.
